He wrote, ‘It is such a happy time for our Cinema with Stree 2 setting new benchmarks for all of us to look up to.Stree part 1 was brilliant and the idea of taking that seed and building a universe and watching it all come together in Stree 2 is applause worthy! Bravo to the teams that brought this to celluloid. You guys are true stars. Congratulations Dinesh Vijan, @MaddockFilms, @jiostudios, @amarkaushik, @nirenbhatt and the entire cast & crew! May we continue to have many more such happy times at the movies’.
Stree 2 is part of Maddock Films’ supernatural universe, which includes films like Bhediya and Munjya. Fans were excited to see Varun Dhawan’s cameo, sparking speculation about the next sequel—whether it will be Stree 3 or Bhediya 2. Both films, directed by Amar Kaushik, did well at the box office. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rajkummar Rao suggested that Bhediya 2 might release before Stree 3 given its current production status.
In the same interview, Rajkummar mentioned that since Bhediya 2 is still in development and Stree 2 is already in theaters, he thinks the next installment fans will see could be Varun Dhawan’s horror-comedy sequel.
Meanwhile, Hrithik is reportedly in talks to take on the role of Kaleen Bhaiyya in a movie adaptation of Mirzapur. If confirmed, he would replace Pankaj Tripathi in this iconic role, representing a major shift for the character in the film. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.
He will soon appear in War 2 alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
