When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said ‘I dig dignity’ as she spoke about her ideal man before marrying Abhishek Bachchan: ‘He should be madly in love with me’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a rare sight at the movies, ever since she got married and became a mother. The actress has been largely very choosy about the work she picks as all her attention is on her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan in the year 2007 and it’s been 17 years since they are married. But lately, their fans have been extremely worried about the rumours of their divorce. These rumours kick-started the moment Aishwarya was seen arriving separately at the Ambani wedding with Aaradhya, while Abhishek was seen with his family.
The couple has maintained a very dignified silence on these rumours and perhaps have not paid heed to it as they are very much together. But the rumour mills continue to do their work. Amidst these rumours, here’s recalling the time when Aishwarya had spoken about the qualities she wants in her ideal man.
During an old interview with Rediff, the actress had said, “My ideal man should be madly in love with me because I won’t have it any other way. I am a total romantic at heart, so naturally, my ideal mate better be well versed in the art of romance. Not flirting, but romance. And there is quite a difference. I dig dignity. It is rare and priceless in a world that’s so taken over by images and put-ons.”
On work front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’. The actress has just landed in Dubai on Saturday with daughter Aaradhya for an award function. Abhishek on the other hand, is reportedly set to fly to London for the shoot of ‘Housefull 5‘ with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh.
