Vinay Anand meets Govinda in hospital; injured actor says ‘I’m better now, Bajrang Bali saved me’- Exclusive! | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Actor and politician Govinda faced a terrifying incident early this morning when he accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. The mishap occurred around 4:45 a.m. while Govinda was preparing to leave his home for a scheduled flight to Kolkata.
Soon after the incident, several celebrities and close friends of Govinda shared their concerns and sent well wishes for his recovery.Vinay Anand a Bollywood actor and the nephew of the iconic actor Govinda rushed to the hospital immediately to see his uncle.
Reflecting on the emotional moment, Vinay told ETimes, “I didn’t think I would cry when I saw him, but I broke down. He looked at me and said, ‘I’m better now, Bajrang Bali saved me.’ Though the bullet had been removed, he was still tense about what would happen next. But the doctors assured him he would recover soon.”
Vinay expressed shock over how the incident occurred, saying, “A man getting ready for a show drops his gun, hurts himself, and rushes to the hospital. The timing was bad, but surviving it was good. Something worse could have happened, it could have hit a critical area. But thank God, my uncle is safe now.”
He concluded, “My uncle has always been a responsible, sharp, and alert person, ever since childhood. But this incident was truly shocking. Thank God he was saved from this accident.”
On the other hand, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata when his revolver slipped from his hand, causing a bullet to accidentally fire. He has sustained a bullet injury below his knee.
For the unversed, Vinay Anand and Govinda have shared the screen in a few films together, most notably in the comedy film ‘Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa’ in 2001.
