Singer Ankit Tiwari recently spoke about his counterpart Arijit Singh. Ankit also expressed his love and respect for Arijit and commented on their comparison.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ankit described his connection with Arijit as one rooted in music rather than friendship. He emphasized that their bond is built on mutual respect, which has been present from the beginning and remains strong. Ankit acknowledged the unique love and respect Arijit commands globally, and both share an understanding of their admiration for one another, with music being the foundation of their relationship.
The singer explained that while they occasionally share ideas or songs over the phone—sending each other tracks they like—their in-person meetings are rare. He also addressed comparisons between them, stating that such comparisons are unfair. He pointed out that Arijit has an extensive collection of songs, whereas his own body of work is much smaller, making any comparison irrelevant given the different scales and paces of their careers.
He wrapped up by saying that he believes Arijit is on the right path, as he steers away from the obvious or predictable. He praised Arijit’s recent songs for their experimentation and artistic flair, highlighting that Arijit’s unique approach to music is not about pleasing others, but creating songs that resonate with him personally. This authenticity, he explained, is the essence behind Arijit’s work.
