Siddhant Chaturvedi reveals he kept insisting Karan Johar before bagging ‘Dhadak 2’: ‘There is no shame in asking for work’ | – Times of India

Siddhant Chaturvedi is gearing up for his next film, ‘Yudhra’, set to release on September 20. The actor recenlty talked about his positive experience working with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions in ‘Gehraiyaan‘ and expressed his excitement about returning for his second film, ‘Dhadak 2‘ with them.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Siddhant mentioned that Dhadak 2 will be released under Dharma Productions.He also revealed that he is working on another film with the production house, which promises to have an amazing storyline.

The actor was also asked about how he landed his role. He explained that while he initially got the film easily, he was persistent with Karan Johar about wanting to do an intense love story. He noted that at parties, people often asked whether he preferred action or comedy. He also mentioned meeting Dinesh Vijan, who was working on a horror-comedy, and emphasized that there’s no shame in seeking work from anyone.

He also mentioned that he believes his career progress is due to actively seeking work and giving auditions. He feels that this approach has earned him respect and clarified that his persistence should be seen as a quest for opportunities rather than demanding work. He shared that even though he had limited interactions with Karan Johar, he made sure to express his interest in a love story film, asking to be informed if such a project came up.
