Saif Ali Khan on landing Devara: Part 1: ‘I was very lucky…’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara: Part 1’ is readying for release, and fans could not be more excited! Recently, Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had a conversation with the cast of the movie, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The ace director interacted with Saif, playing the primary antagonist in the film named Bhairava, on many aspects of the movie.

The makers of the film recently released a video where Sandeep Reddy Vanga interviews the team of the film where he discusses the storyline and the experience of filming it.

When asked about how he landed the role, Saif said, “Firstly, when I was approached for the film, it was a great honour. I love Hyderabad cinema and I think it is the future for a lot of Bombay actors, who will be lucky and excited to be in big Hyderabad movies. I was very lucky to get this offer.”

Saif also admitted that initially, he was worried about the language barrier, but that soon was put to rest. “He (Koratala Siva) said just turn up, and it’s going to be an easy experience. Don’t worry about it,” Saif recollected.
“He gave me the most passionate narration,” Saif continued and added, “Normally, my attention can wander if it’s not a great narration or I feel sleepy also.” But in this case, he was hooked. It was a spellbinding narration, very emotional.”

During the interview, Jr. NTR praised Janhvi Kapoor for her impressive fluency in Telugu, expressing his surprise at how quickly she adapted to the language.
The film has a pan-India release in multiple languages with the movie hitting the silver screens on September 27th, 2024.
