Pune: A Yerawada Central Prison inmate from Mumbai’s Sion, out on 28-day parole since March 19, has failed to return, police said. Prison guard Tausif Shaikh (37) filed a complaint with Yerawada police on Saturday.Senior inspector Anjum Bagwan said the inmate, a murder convict serving life since 2018, was lodged in Yerawada on Dec 3, 2025. He was required to report back on April 16 after his parole ended on April 15, but did not. After waiting two days, authorities approached police. A search at his Sion residence yielded nothing, and relatives said they were unaware of his whereabouts.
