MUMBAI: Metro 3 Aqua line train services were disrupted for nearly an hour this morning, with commuters saying there “no clarity on when operations will resume”When contacted, a Metro 3 official said services delayed by 30 minutes and will resume back to normal soon. (Detailed statement to follow on the reason for service disruption etc.Delays during peak morning hours has majorly inconvenienced several office goers and other commuters as there is rush at this time. A commuter tweeted : “No Aqua line trains from aarey jvlr for cuffee parade.. @MumbaiMetro3 .No announcement, no Support why??? Also yet not updated/notified on your own app taking consumers granted for everything”Another passenger put on X : “No communication on when services will resume and utter chaos. The least expected is timely updates at stations so people are not left stranded and confused. @MumbaiMetro3”Sources said services were halted due to a reported train snag. Entry into some stations, including CSMT access points, was temporarily blocked to prevent overcrowding, while commuters confronted staff at ticket counters over missing updates on restoration.Mumbai Metro 3 put up an advisory on social media: “Due to a technical issue , train services are experiencing delays at both downline and upline ways. Fault has been rectified and normal services will be restored earliest.Passengers are requested to kindly remain patient during this time. We regret the inconvenience caused.”Later Metro 3 issued a statement: “Due to a technical issue, train services on both downline and upline routes experienced delays earlier today. The fault has since been rectified, and normal train services have now been restored.”
