Mumbai: The city crime branch has arrested a prime accused involved in sexual exploitation of a minor, registered at Shivajinagar Police Station under multiple stringent laws including the Pocso Act. The unit 6 Arrested Babu Aynal Khan (30), who was on the run for allegedly abducting a minor boy and sexually assaulting him.Acting on intelligence, a team led by officers of Unit 06 tracked the accused to the Vashi-Kopri area in Navi Mumbai, where he was hiding under a false identity. A trap was laid; however, the accused attempted to flee towards Mumbai. After a chase, he was apprehended at Panjrapole Junction in Trombay.Following arrest, he was interrogated by senior officers, and his involvement in the crime was established. He was medically examined and later handed over to Shivajinagar Police for further investigation. Police revealed that the accused has multiple criminal registered against him across Mumhai and Thane.
