Kareena Kapoor Khan stands by Malaika Arora’s side post father Anil Mehta’s shocking demise; Manish Malhotra, Seema Sajdeh and others arrive at Arora family residence- WATCH | – Times of India

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has temporarily halted the promotions for her upcoming film ‘The Buckingham Murders‘ to stand by her best friend, Malaika Arora‘s side, following the shocking demise of her father, Anil Mehta. On Friday, the actress was among the early few who arrived at the Arora family residence. Dressed in all-white, the actress was seen making her way out of her car and rushing to the building.While the family has asked for privacy to deal with Mehta’s tragic demise, unconfirmed reports suggest that the family is hosting a prayer meet with only a few close friends and family in attendance.

Besides Kareena, Malaika’s fellow B-town friends, including Manish Malhotra and Seema Sajdeh were spotted arriving at the house to be by the actress’ side and lend their support to her grieving mother Joyce.Photos and videos doing the rounds online saw a heart-shaped wreath with Anil’s photo in it, arriving at the residence before the prayer meet.

Anil Mehta, passed away on Wednesday after falling to his death from his 6th-floor balcony. His death is currently being investigated as a suicide, with police officials not yet ruling out the possibility of an accidental death. The initial autopsy report confirmed that he died of ‘multiple injuries’.

Reports on PTI state that the police have recorded Joyce’s statement and will soon record the statements of daughters Malaika and Amrita in the coming days.
Since his passing, Malaika’s friends have been spotted paying her and her mother a visit every day to check in on them and offer their support. Last night, everyone from Karisma Kapoor to Salman Khan, Arpita Khan and many other friends were spotted paying the family a visit and offering their condolences.
