The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Thursday listed an Indian man identified only as Kamal among its wanted fugitives for his alleged involvement with the Lawrence Bishnoi organized crime group.According to the FBI, the organisation allegedly operated in California and elsewhere and was involved in a conspiracy to interfere with commerce through extortion.“No Name Given Kamal is wanted for his alleged involvement in a transnational criminal organization engaged in conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion,” the notification said.A federal arrest warrant for Kamal was issued on July 1, 2026, by the US district court for the central district of California in Los Angeles. He has been charged with conspiracy to “interfere with commerce by extortion”.“This organization, The Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group, originated in the Punjab state of India and operated in the Central District of California and elsewhere. On July 1, 2026, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Kamal in the United States District Court, Central District of California, Los Angeles, California, after he was charged with Conspiracy to Interfere with Commerce by Extortion,” it added.The FBI’s listing does not provide Kamal’s full name though his personal details like height, weight, colour of his hair and eyes are provided for indentification purposes.
