Pune: The Kalepadal police on Wednesday busted an illegal LPG refilling racket with the arrest of a 38-year-old worker. The police recovered 103 cylinders and a mini-truck.Senior police inspector Mansinh Patil of the Kalepadal police told TOI that the police team raided the spot at Handewadi and found one person was illegally transferring LPG from domestic cylinders to commercial and small cylinders inside a shop. “We also found some cylinders kept in the mini-truck. Totally, we found 103 cylinders in possession of the accused,” Patil said.Patil said that the accused planned to sell refilled commercial and small cylinders at high prices. “We are investigating from where he obtained the cylinders in such a large quantity,” Patil said.
