Kalyan: More than a month after a constable of Vishnu Nagar police station in Dombivli died by suicide, an FIR was lodged against his wife, who is also a police constable, for alleged abetment.Shriram Misal (37) was found dead on the terrace of his home on April 28. The FIR was filed against wife Shivganga Misal based on a complaint by his brother. As per the complaint, the couple had faced marital discord for several years. It said Shivganga frequently subjected Shriram to harassment and humiliation. She allegedly taunted him repeatedly citing her seniority over him and her higher salary. The complainant also alleged extramarital relationships, which are being investigated. He submitted audio recordings, call records and other material as evidence. He claimed Shriram had expressed frustration and had spoken about suicide shortly before his death.The alleged role of another cop named in the complaint is being probed. —Pradeep Gupta
