Trade expert Komal Nahta recently shared that he was barred from certain film events due to his unfavourable reviews. However, he praised actors like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan for their maturity in handling criticism, highlighting how they remained open to feedback, regardless of the review’s tone.
In an interview with actor Vishal Malhotra, Komal shared that he had watched Laal Singh Chaddha eight months prior to its August 2022 release and warned Aamir Khan about its potential failure.Despite featuring Kareena Kapoor, the film, a remake of Forrest Gump, turned out to be a major box office disappointment.
Discussing petty revenge in the film industry, Komal Nahta highlighted that some stars rise above it, citing Aamir Khan and Salman Khan as examples. Nahta recalled watching Laal Singh Chaddha months before its release and candidly sharing his negative opinion with Aamir. Despite the harsh feedback, Aamir remained unfazed, never attempting to influence Nahta or distance himself, demonstrating true maturity.
Komal Nahta also discussed his relationship with Salman Khan, mentioning that despite writing both positive and negative reviews of Salman’s films, their equation remains unchanged. He emphasized his commitment to honesty for the sake of his readers and viewers, considering it a serious responsibility not to mislead even a small percentage of his audience.
