When Salman Khan lauded Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan Siddique’s kind act of offering food to 1,25,000 families during lockdown | – Times of India


Late NCP leader Baba Siddique and Bollywood actor Salman Khan shared a very cordial bond. A lot of people only know about Salman’s presence at Siddique’s annual Iftar parties, but their friendship was way past it. They stood by each other in every thick and thin, and Salman Khan never held back from lauding any initiative taken by Baba Siddique.
For instance, back in 2020, when the whole nation was under lockdown and running day-to-day life was turning harder and harder, Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan Siddique took the initiative to feed 1,25,000 families.Salman Khan ensured that this good deed by the Siddiques didn’t go unnoticed.
Salman Khan took to his social media handle to give a shout-out to both Baba and Zeeshan Siddique. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he shared a picture of veteran politician Baba Siddique and his son, Zeeshan Siddique. It showed the father and son in a candid moment while arranging food for the masses. Along with the picture, Salman wrote “Baba and baba’s baba zeeshan ne aan baan aur shaan se 1,25,000 families ko ration bataa hai. Now this is a challenge that one should be a part of.. Challenge ‘Anna Daan’ Karo to khud ya kissi bharosemand ke through…@BabaSiddique @zeeshan_iyc”

Baba Siddique was attacked by shooters on Saturday, and following the unfortunate incident, the veteran politician was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared dead. Soon after, Bollywood celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty with her husband Raj Kundra, and many others came to the hospital.
On Sunday, Baba Siddique’s mortal remains were brought home. Siddique’s residence saw many politicians, Bollywood stars, family members, and friends coming over to pay their final respects. Later in the evening, the respected politician’s final rites were performed.
