No efforts are too much when a man is in love and this proves the same with Boney Kapoor when he fell in love with the legendary Sridevi. On Boney Kapoor’s birthday this day, November 11, let’s take a look at the time when Boney Kapoor did everything possible to win the heart of the iconic Sridevi.

Talking at the India Today Woman Summit in 2013, Boney Kapoor revealed that he fell in love with Sridevi’s screen presence in a Tamil film (reportedly ‘16 Vayathinile’). Boney Kapoor was keen to know more about the talented and charming actress who spoke in broken Hindi and English.

Describing the moment as a ‘Dream come true’, Boney Kapoor met Sridevi in person while making the classic hit ‘Mr. India’.
Sridevi was already the highest-paid female actor in India and during the shoot, Boney Kapoor made sure that everything was available for the actress in the sets. Sridevi was getting paid around Rs 8 to 8.5 lakhs per film. Interestingly Boney Kapoor revealed that he was agreeing to even pay her Rs 11 lakhs just to work with the iconic actress.
Boney also made sure that Sridevi was comfortable during the shoot and provided everything she asked for. Boney Kapoor said, “If you don’t like this, wear this; if you don’t like this, wear this,” indicating that he ensured Sridevi had the best makeup room, costumes, and whatever she needed.
With further meetings with Sridevi, Boney Kapoor felt a sense of attachment which grew over the years, developing into a love relationship.
Boney Kapoor further said that Sridevi understood that he was not just looking for a ‘fling’ during the shoot for ‘Chandni’ in Switzerland.
Boney and Sridevi got married in 1996, even though the news came out in public in January 1997.
