When Alia Bhatt ‘Jumped for five mins’ on receiving THIS film offer with Salman Khan | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Actress Alia Bhatt is making headlines for her recently released ‘Jigra‘ with Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa. Meanwhile, ‘Jigra’ has fallen short of fan expectations, with the film struggling to make a significant impact at the box office.
However, did you know that before ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi‘, Alia Bhatt was offered another major Sanjay Leela Bhansali project alongside Salman Khan? In 2019, she announced her role in Inshallah, a love story directed by Bhansali, where she was set to star opposite Salman Khan.
When asked about her initial reaction to being offered Inshallah with Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt shared in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama that she was so excited, she ran to a corner and jumped up and down for five minutes. She also revealed that she was abroad at the time when she received the call.
Sharing the news, Alia on X wrote, “Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can’t wait to join them on this beautiful journey called “Inshallah.”
Besides this, Alia Bhatt is preparing for the shoot of another Sanjay Leela Bhansali film titled ‘Love & War’, in which she will star alongside her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and her Raazi co-star, Vicky Kaushal.
This epic is scheduled to release in theatres on March 20, 2026. The film marks Alia and Ranbir’s second collaboration with Bhansali, following Gangubai Kathiawadi and Saawariya, respectively, and will be Vicky Kaushal’s first project with the acclaimed director.
On the other hand, Salman will be next seen in the action film ‘Sikandar’, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2025.
