‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ box office collection day 15: The Rajkummar Rao starrer crawls towards Rs 40 crore mark | – Times of India

On the festive occasion of Dussehra, cinema lovers were given not one but two movie treats – Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer ‘Jigra’ and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.’ Both the movies coming from different genres promised a full dose of entertainment and had hype around them right from the word go. However, as they debuted on the big screen, everything changed.
On the one hand, where ‘Jigra’ is heading towards getting the title of Alia Bhatt’s lowest-grossing movie, on the other hand, despite recovering its making cost in 10 days, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ has been performing dully at the box office.
On its day 14, the movie made a business of Rs. 15 lakhs with a drop of 62.41 percent. It made the total reach to Rs. 37.15 crores. On day 15, which is the third Friday, the movie was able to Rs.65 lakhs according to the early estimates of Sacnilk, making the total Rs.37.80 crores. The movie is crawling to reach the Rs40 crore mark this weekend.
As for ‘Jigra,’ the Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer hasn’t been able to touch the Rs.30 crore mark till now.
With big Diwali releases ahead (‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaan 3’), it might not be easy for the movies to maintain a grip at the box office.
‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’
Directed by Raj Shandilya, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ tells the tale of a newly married couple whose wedding night CD gets stolen. In addition to Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, the movie has Vijay Raaz, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tiku Talsania, and several other esteemed actors. Despite the stellar star cast, the movie’s script and dialogues failed to impress the audience and it received mixed reviews.
