‘The Buckingham Murders‘ saw Kareena play a detective who has been asked to investigate a child’s murder while she is grieving the loss of her own child. Kareena knew the dynamics of the story and hence stepped in as the producer of the film along with Ektaa R Kapoor. The film went on to mint Rs 7.65 crore in the first week and even had a good second weekend where it added another Rs 1.55 crore to its kitty.But over the weekdays the film was able to earn only Rs 43 lakh, averaging Rs 10 lakh per day. Thus, taking the second week total to Rs 1.98 crore and overall collection of the film to Rs 9.63 crore. The film will go down in history as one of the lowest performing films of Kareena’s career.

Kareena Kapoor is set to complete 25 years in the industry next year, as the actress made her debut with JP Dutta’s Refugee alongside Abhishek Bachchan in 2000. Since then, she’s starred in hits like Jab We Met, Omkara, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bodyguard, Good Newz, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and a particular cinema chain has also organized a Kareena Kapoor film festival in thier cinemas.

Kareena’s next is Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Again‘ which is slated to release on Diwali. It will be clashing with Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Triptii Dimri’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘. She is also rumoured to be part of Meghna Gulzar’s next film post ‘Sam Bahadur’.
