Tamannaah Bhatia seeks blessings at Kamakhya temple with her parents amid ED probe | – Times of India

Tamannaah Bhatia recently visited the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, embracing her spiritual side. This public appearance came shortly after she was linked to a money laundering case.
The actress is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) related to a money laundering case involving the ‘HPZ Token‘ mobile app, which allegedly deceived investors by posing as a Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining platform. After being questioned in Guwahati, she is suspected of receiving payments for attending a company event as a celebrity guest. While no formal charges have been made, her statement was recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), and she may be summoned for further questioning.

Following her questioning by the ED, Tamannaah visited the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati with her parents, dressed in a white Kurta Salwar as she sought blessings at the temple on Nilachal Hills. Despite the recent scrutiny, she remained committed to her professional obligations, attending the ED summons after initially delaying her appearance due to work commitments. The investigation into the alleged cryptocurrency scam linked to the HPZ Token app is ongoing.

Bhatia arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Guwahati around 1:30 pm on Thursday with her parents for questioning related to a money laundering case involving the ‘HPZ Token’ mobile app. The app is accused of defrauding investors by promising high returns from Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining. The ED’s charge sheet, filed in March, implicated 299 entities, including 76 firms linked to Chinese nationals, 10 directors of Chinese origin, and two entities headed by foreign individuals.
