Ahead of the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the song Hukkush Phukkush, sung by Sonu Nigam and featuring Kartik Aaryan with 1,000 children, was unveiled at a lively launch event. Sonu Nigam performed the song live, with Kartik standing beside him on stage. However, a video from the event has sparked reactions online, showing how kids enthusiastically flocked around Kartik for selfies, seemingly sidelining and ignoring Sonu.
In the video, a few children greet both Sonu and Kartik by touching their feet, but soon the crowd shifts entirely toward Kartik, excited to take photos with him. Sonu remains on stage, smiling and observing the scene, though he happily poses for a selfie when one young fan specifically approaches him.
Fans online were disappointed to see Sonu sidelined. Many expressed sadness, pointing out Sonu’s legacy in Indian music. One fan wrote, “It’s sad to see the new generation miss out on a legend.” Another fan commented, “It’s truly sad that today’s kids don’t recognize who the real talent is.”

At the event, Sonu praised Kartik’s hard work, calling him “one of the hardest-working actors.” Kartik, equally thrilled, said it was his first time performing with kids, calling the experience unique. He also praised Sonu, saying he was honored to collaborate with him.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continues the success of the horror-comedy franchise, following the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). The latest installment, which stars Kartik alongside Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri, has already earned Rs 158.25 crore net in India.
