Rohit Shetty‘s Diwali release, Singham Again has started off with a bang. The film, featuring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Arjun Kapoor, among others, faced competition from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri.
According to Sacnilk, Singham Again earned Rs 43.5 crore on its opening day. The movie saw a slight dip on Saturday but still collected around Rs 41.5 crore, bringing its two-day total to Rs 85 crore, as per early estimates. The film has surpassed Rs 100 crore gross at the worldwide box office in just two days stated the latest update. The movie made a splash with its first-day worldwide earnings reported at Rs 65 crore.
Even though the movie is not even a week old, there has been immense curiosity on its OTT release. However, it is going to be a long wait ahead for fans, as the movie is expected to drop on OTT by end of December, though an official date is still awaited. Reportedly, the movie will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is also performing well and is on track to become a hit, though it may face challenges in maintaining its momentum post the Diwali holidays. The performance on Monday will be crucial in determining if the film can sustain its success.
Singham Again is showing on more than 2,000 screens worldwide, giving it a broad global presence. This includes 197 screens across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, over 760 screens in North America, and 224 screens in the UK and Ireland. In Canada, it’s being screened at major cinema chains, with Cineplex covering a significant portion of the country’s box office.
Singham Again is part of Shetty’s cop universe, which includes characters from Sooryavanshi and Simmba. The cast features Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, and Arjun Kapoor in a negative role.
