‘Singham Again’ box office collection day 8: The Ajay Devgn starrer sees a dip on second Friday, crosses Rs 180 crore | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

‘Singham Agian’ has now completed a week since it released and managed to have a decent first week. The filmn saw a continuous dip in the business from Monday onwards and from Wednesday, the numbers started showing in the single digit scenario. This Ajay Devgn starrer had clashed at the box office with Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and though initially, ‘Singham Again‘ had a lead, later, it was ‘BB3’ which started faring better.
On Wednesday, ‘Singham Again’ had made Rs 10.5 crore but on Wednesday. But on Thursday, the film saw a drop and got to a single digit number. It made Rs 8.75 crore on day 7. However, ‘BB3’, made Rs 9.5 crore. So far, the total collection of ‘Singham Again’ is Rs 173 crore, while ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ has made Rs 158.25 crore, according to Sacnilk.com. On second Friday, it made Rs 7.5 crore. Thus the total collection so far, is Rs 180.5 crore.
‘Singham Again’ has done better in areas like Mumbai and CP Berar. But still, the trade feels that this number is not enough for a movie like this. The budget of ‘Singham Again’ was much higher than ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ which is why, the numbers should also have been higher. Hence, despite this week 1 numbers being pretty decent, the trade still expected the movie to fare better. Meanwhile, ‘BB3’ has made around Rs 167 crore by the end of week 1.
Eventually, ‘Singham Again’ may turn out to be an average fare but that also depends on the business of the movie on its second weekend and one hope it sees a growth on Saturday and Sunday.
‘Singham Again’ directed by Rohit Shetty, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar.
