‘Singham Again’ box office collection day 11: The Ajay Devgn starrer sees a drop on second Monday after having a great Sunday and joining the Rs 200 crore club | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Singham Again‘ had promised a great start at the box office when it released on November 1. It clashed with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘ and together, both these movies generated a weekend of Rs 200 crore which was the highest in Hindi cinema. This broke the record of the ‘Animal’ and ‘Sam Bahadur’ weekend which was a sum total of around Rs 190 crore. While ‘Singham Again’ was off to a great start, it slowly started seeing a dip from its first Monday onwards.
Over the second weekend, there was growth again. It made Rs 12.25 crore and Rs 13.5 crore respectively on second Saturday and Sunday. Now on Monday, it has seen a major drop from Sunday. The film made around Rs 4.25 crore. Thus, the total collection of ‘Singham Again’ so far, according to Sacnilk, is Rs 211 crore.
This is a good number within 11 days but the movie was also mounted on a heavy budget hence, more was expected out of it. Meanwhile ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ was made on a lesser budget than ‘Singham Again’ according to trade, but has been giving it a tough competition. Even on Monday, ‘BB 3’ performed better than ‘Singham Again’ by a thin margin.
‘Singham Again’ has performed the best in Mumbai and Maharashtra as opposed to other centres where also it should have performed more. There’s no major release lined up in the next coming days, hence both these movies are expected to continue enjoy their run at the box office.
