‘Singham Again‘ has now completed ten days at the box office and while the entire week from Monday onwards, one saw a dip in the numbers, the good news is that there was growth on its second weekend. The Rohit Shetty directorial had clashed with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ at the box office and while initially, ‘Singham Again’ was in the lead, the tables have now turned. Over the last few days, which is Thursday onwards, the Kartik Aaryan starrer has started faring better. Meanwhile, even over the weekend, despite ‘Singham Again’, seeing a growth, ‘BB 3’ has got a slight edge.
After making Rs 8 crore on Friday, ‘Singham Again’ made Rs 12.25 crore on Saturday which was a growth of 53.13 per cent. On Sunday, the numbers increased by 8 per cent more. Thus, the total so far is Rs 13.25 crore. Thus, the total collection of the movie so far, in the span of 10 days is Rs 206.5 crore, according to Sacnilk. Meanwhile, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ made Rs 15.5 crore and 16.5 crore respectively on Saturday and Sunday. The total collection of the movie so far, stands at around Rs 199.5 crore. While the total number is still less than ‘Singham Again’, the second weekend numbers of the Vidya Balan starrer are higher.
According to trade website Box Office India, the numbers of ‘Singham Again’ are good and yet not that good as it has only done great in the Mumbai circuit. If it had beated ‘BB 3’ even in the rest of the parts of the country, it would have been called a ‘super hit’. More so, because the budget of ‘Singham Again’ is higher and while one doesn’t deny these good numbers and growth of the movie, more was expected out of it, by the trade.
