‘Singham Again’ becomes Ajay Devgn’s biggest hit in North America as it crosses Rs 35 crore mark | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


When it comes to the overseas market for Hindi films, it is usually dominated by Shah Rukh Khan movies but with his latest film Singham Again, Ajay Devgn has made an entry into the market especially the North American market. The USA and Canada market are considered to be the biggest market for Hindi films outside of India.

And Singham Again which released on the occasion of Diwali is having a strong run at the USA ticket counters where after 12 days the film has crossed the magical figure of US $ 4 million, as its total collection now stands at US $ 4,159,000 ( Rs 35 crore). The film has already become the biggest Ajay Devgn hit in the circuit beating Drishyam 2 which had a lifetime collection of over nearly US $ 3 million.
In India as well the film has been doing great business as it has already crossed Rs 200 crore mark with its 13 day collections standing at Rs 217.65 crore as per Sacnilk. It became the third biggest Hindi film of the year beating Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter whose lifetime collection was around Rs 212 crore. The overall worldwide collection has crossed Rs 300 crore.

Singham Again is directed by Rohit Shetty and is part of his Cop Universe. With the film he introduced two more characters with Deepika Padukone as Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya. The film also brought back Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh as Simmba. Rohit in an interview recently shared that he is working on a stand alone film in his Cop Universe with Deepika in the lead.
