‘Singham Again’ advance box office day 1: The Ajay Devgn starrer has made Rs 5.97 crore in advance sales, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ has sold more tickets as it opened a day prior | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

It’s a war of the biggies this Diwali. The much anticipated ‘Singham Again‘ is set to release on November 1 and another anticipated franchise film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘ is clashing with it. The competition of the numbers will oviously be there but it’s a great news for exhibitors who will finally have something to showcase in the theatres. As there were no good movies, there were so many old movies being re-released. A clash that brings in good opening weekend as a total, is always a great news for exhibitors and theatres. The advance bookings of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ are better than ‘Singham Again’ at the moment because it opened a day before the Ajay Devgn starrer.
Thus, ‘Singham Again’ is still catching up. While ‘BB3’ has already made Rs 7.39 crore in advance sales up till Thursday morning, the Rohit Shetty directorial has collected Rs 5.97 crore so far in advance sales. One lakh, eighty three thousand, six hundred and sixty six (1,83,666) have been sold so far. Meanwhile, since ‘BB3’ advance bookings were open a day prior to ‘Singham Again’, it has sold 2,29,558 tickets so far. But, the number of screens of ‘Singham Again’ are more than BB3.
The trade predicts that eventually, ‘Singham Again’ may end up having higher opening numbers than the Kartik Aaryan starrer, but one never knows. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will give tough competition to ‘Singham Again’ at some centres. But in states like Maharashtra, the Ajay Devgn starrer is expected to dominate as it has a huge fan following.
While the clashes may continue, it’s going to be a win-win situation for the industry, if both the movies collectively generate a three-day opening weekend number of minimum Rs 200 crore. ‘Singham Again’ boasts of a stellar ensemble as it will also star Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, apart from Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh in their cameos!
