His films, including ‘Vicky Donor‘ (2013), ‘Pink’ (2017), and the most recent ‘Sardar Udham‘ (2023), have not only resonated with audiences but also set new benchmarks for quality in Indian cinema. The critically acclaimed biographical drama ‘Sardar Udham’ made waves last year, winning an impressive 5 National Awards for its thought-provoking portrayal of Punjabi Sikh revolutionary Udham Singh, known for assassinating the British officer responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
With his new film set to release at the end of this year, anticipation is high for what Sircar will deliver next, as he continues to push the boundaries of storytelling in a landscape rich with exceptional talent.
