Amidst much buzz around Sean Diddy Combs‘ arrest and upcoming trial, newly uncovered Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) agreements shed light on the strict confidentiality measures surrounding his alleged ‘freak-off’ parties.
The music mogul, known for his exclusive, star-studded events, reportedly made his guests sign NDAs that are all legally binding. The document, obtained by TMZ, gives a look into the extensive terms and conditions that prevent attendees from revealing what went on at the parties.
The document released by the portal shows that guests were issued strict prohibitions on discussing Diddy, his associates, and any activities or individuals present at his events. The NDA reportedly forbids guests from sharing any information about Diddy, his family members, current or former partners, or friends. Under the agreement, attendees are restricted from taking photographs, filming, or recording anything at these events without his written consent. This restriction also extends to posting on social media, with the NDA listing specific platforms where guests are prohibited from sharing unauthorized content.
The agreement goes further, barring attendees from conducting interviews, writing books, or disseminating any details about the parties or Diddy’s private life without prior written consent. In a unique provision, the NDA is enforceable for either 70 years or the artist’s lifetime plus an additional 20 years, whichever is longer—a duration far exceeding standard NDAs.
Diddy is currently locked up, awaiting trial on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Meanwhile, federal prosecutors have said that Diddy’s lawyers are trying to “hijack” the music mogul’s criminal case by asking a judge to force early disclosure of evidence, including his accusers’ identities. Defense lawyers also have asked for a gag order to stop accusers’ lawyers from commenting publicly and have claimed government leaks to the media have threatened the rapper’s chance at a fair trial.
Combs also faces civil lawsuits by multiple men and women alleging they were sexually assaulted by Combs during the last quarter century after being drugged.
More than a dozen lawsuits filed in Manhattan federal court have been assigned to different judges, leading to varying early rulings on whether allegations were sufficiently made.
In one instance, a judge on Wednesday ruled that a Tennessee woman who alleges Combs raped her in 2004 when she was 19 must proceed without anonymity or not at all. The judge wrote that defendants have a right to investigate those who sue them and the public has a right to know who uses the courts.
