Salman Khan’s ex Somy Ali reveals why she wanted a call with Lawrence Bishnoi | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Somy Ali, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, has been in the news after sharing a post on Instagram regarding Lawrence Bishnoi. In the now-deleted post, she invited the gangster for a Zoom call in the wake of Baba Siddique’s death.
In a recent interview, Somy clarified that the intention behind the post was to initiate a dialogue for peace with Bishnoi. During her conversation with Hindustan Times, Somy Ali explained why she invited Lawrence Bishnoi for a Zoom call.Somy expressed concern over the death threats Salman Khan received from Bishnoi’s gang, saying that her intention was to promote peace and dialogue, not to escalate tension.
Ali added that while the film industry today is vastly different from the 90s, safety has always been a concern, especially for women. Although she never experienced direct threats, there were instances that made her feel uneasy.
Meanwhile, Ali faced trolling on social media after inviting Bishnoi for a Zoom call. In response, she deleted the original post and shared a new message addressing the backlash.
She wrote, “Trolls seek reasons to hate, but what truly frustrates them is their exclusion from everything. To those trolling online, I suggest you step away from your screens. Go outside, observe the people around you, and pay attention to how your friends interact with others. Understand that this is the world we live in, and it’s okay to embrace it. Trolls often struggle to catch up and are suspicious of anything unfamiliar.”
Following the death of political leader Baba Siddique, actor Salman Khan received a fresh extortion and death threat on October 18. News reports stated that the Mumbai traffic police received a threat message demanding Rs 5 crore extortion money from the Bollywood actor.
The threat was reportedly sent via WhatsApp to a Mumbai Traffic Police number, stating that if Khan wanted to resolve his longstanding feud with the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, he would have to pay the extortion amount.
