Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dhoom’ franchise is one of Bollywood‘s most successful action-thriller series. There have been constant speculations about ‘Dhoom 4‘, with fans eagerly awaiting the next instalment. There have been immense speculations surrounding the casting of ‘Dhoom 4’ after Aamir Khan had led ‘Dhoom 3’ which released in 2013.
The report revealed that discussions with Ranbir had been ongoing for a while, as he expressed interest in joining the franchise after hearing the initial concept.Now, it’s confirmed that he will lead the film. Aditya Chopra believes that Ranbir is the perfect choice to carry forward the legacy of the ‘Dhoom; series.
According to a report, ‘Dhoom 4’ has officially entered the pre-production stage under the supervision of Aditya Chopra at Yash Raj Films (YRF). The report also revealed that ‘Dhoom’ is a franchise close to Aditya Chopra’s heart, and he has decided to reboot it, adapting to modern times. As with the previous films, the script for Dhoom 4 (also referred to as Dhoom Reloaded) is being developed by Chopra along with Vijay Krishna Acharya. The vision is to deliver a groundbreaking cinematic experience with this fourth instalment.
The report further stated that in ‘Dhoom 4’, Ranbir Kapoor will take on the antagonist’s role, while none of the original actors will return, as the film is being rebooted in a true sense. The two major actors from the younger generation are being considered to play the iconic cop duo. With the core storyboard now finalized, the team is moving forward with the casting process.
Meanwhile, YRF plans to begin filming ‘Dhoom 4’ by late 2025 or early 2026, after Ranbir Kapoor completes his work on ‘Love And War’ and ‘Ramayana’ 1 and 2.
