Pune: Industries minister Uday Samant on Friday said the cabinet has taken a decision to expand the network of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to provide gas supply to most of the industries and hotels in the state soon.Samant said about the steps being taken to regularise gas supply to industries and hotels amid the ongoing war in West Asia. “During the cabinet meeting, we discussed expanding the network of PNG. The chief secretary has also held a meeting with gas companies officials and told them to start the work of laying of pipelines wherever the PNG network is missing. The work will be expedited in the next couple of months,” Samant said.He added that more industries and hotels are being registered to provide PNG connection for their use.
