Mumbai: A 71-year-old man lost his leg and subsequently succumbed to his injuries while trying to board a running train at Mulund station. Police said the incident occurred on April 9.Kirti Vira, the deceased, was a businessman from Mulund West. Around 5.30 pm on April 9, the GRP was informed by the station master about a passenger slipping while trying to board a running train from Mulund station. They were informed that the passenger had got dragged along with the train and suffered an amputation from the knee. He was rushed to Agrawal Hospital. From there, he was moved to Fortis Hospital at Mulund where he died. tnn
