Kalyan: A former assistant commissioner of police has been booked for allegedly assaulting a woman and abusing residents of a housing society.According to the complaint, on Wednesday at 8.30 pm, the accused, identified as B L Pawar (65), allegedly drove his two-wheeler too close to the woman at the society’s parking lot. Pawar allegedly ran the vehicle over her foot when she got out of a car. The woman stated that when she objected, the accused began verbally abusing her and passed obscene remarks. As other society members gathered, he allegedly told people that he was a retired police officer and tried to intimidate them. Pawar also allegedly assaulted the society’s secretary and another resident during the altercation.
