Kareena Kapoor Khan celebrates ‘Laapataa Ladies’ Oscars selection: ‘Great stories deserve great recognition’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan, and the team behind ‘Laapataa Ladies‘ have been riding high since the film was selected as India’s entry to the Oscars 2025. After the announcement, Kiran shared her appreciation on receiving the honour to represent the country in the Best Foreign Film category at the Academy Awards and also acknowledged the cast and crew for their dedication in making this achievement possible.
Now, Kareena Kapoor Khan also celebrated the big achievement by taking to her handle to commend her ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ co-star Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and the team saying, “Great stories deserve great recognition…congratulations @raodyness @aamirkhanproductions…So happy for you guysss…@pratibha_ranta @shrivastavasparsh @ravikishan”.

In her heartfelt note, Kiran expressed her joy on receiving the honour and shared her excitement in a note that read, “I am deeply honored and beyond delighted that our film Laapataa Ladies has been chosen as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards. This recognition is a testament to the tireless work of my entire team, whose dedication and passion brought this story to life. ‘Laapataa Ladies’ features Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan. The film was released in theatres on March 1, 2024.
