Karan Johar celebrates 23 years of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ with nostalgic pics | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham‘, directed by Karan Johar, celebrates its 23rd anniversary today, December 14. Released in 2001, the film remains beloved for its engaging dialogues and memorable music, continuing to captivate audiences over the years. Johar shared nostalgic memories on social media to commemorate this milestone.
Karan recently shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, recalling about his experiences on the sets of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. He posted pictures of the star cast and expressed gratitude to the audience for keeping the film alive in its “truest sense” since its release.

Sharing the memories, he penned a note, “23 years!!! Phew…truly one of those pinch me moments – right now & even back then…being on set with these legends!! It was my second film as a director and I think I was immensely fortunate that this magnanimous cast and the entire crew put in so much faith in me to deliver khushi & gham in abundance! The biggest shout out goes to the audience…the fans…our family – who continue to watch our film and recite every dialogue, dance on every song and keep this film alive in its truest sense…THANK YOU! 23 years of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”.
Meanwhile, Karan marked his comeback to the director’s chair with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. Released on July 28, 2023, the film starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra in lead roles.
