Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs who was arrested on Monday in Manhattan, had a relationship with Jennifer Lopez in 1999-2001.Currently, the old photos, videos, and cases related to the ex-couple are resurfacing and JLo’s team reportedly is trying its best to keep the actress’ name out of it all.
Reports from the Daily Mail state that sources have unveiled that JLo’s team is currently on “high alert as they anticipate some drama as more people revisit the shooting of Natania Reuben.” JLo has kept her silence so far on the Diddy matter despite the heavy allegations leveled against her former boyfriend.
It is not just Jennifer, but many other Hollywood stars have maintained silence on the matter, which only added fuel to the rumors that claim that the celebs are scared to weigh in, possibly due to their own involvement or alleged threats from Diddy or his people. For the unversed, everyone in the 2000s knew Diddy, reportedly because of his extravagant parties. Therefore, everyone today is thinking twice before saying a word.
As far as Jennifer is concerned, an insider said “There were crisis talks this week to discuss how, and if, Jennifer should respond if the ongoing case triggers the past. Jennifer was present when the incident happened and a lot of people in the industry are looking at her sideways.”
Steps are being made to avoid any future cricies. A source states that JLo doesn’t believe any negative impact will come from whatever happens to Diddy. Amid all this, a third source mentioned the infamous NYC shooting case, which if probed might drag Lopez into the matter.
The NYC shooting case
When Jennifer and Diddy were together, they were arrested in a shooting case, which also involved Coms’ bodyguard, Anthony ‘Wolf’ Jones, and his protege Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow. It happened when a nightclub fight took an ugly turn and gunshots left three bystanders injured, including a woman named Natania Reuben.
Reports suggest that Combs and Lopez fled the scene but were eventually arrested. A couple of hours after the incident, the ‘Atlas’ star was released from custody; while Combs and his bodyguard were ultimately acquitted of the charges. Seanl denied his involvement and told the press he didn’t even have a gun at that time.
