WI vs IND, 2nd Test, Day 4 Live Updates: The resumption time for the game is 12:15 am IST after rain stopped play. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill are in the crease as two-down India have extended their lead to 301 against West Indies in the second Test in Trinidad. India are 118 for 2 in their second innings. Jomel Warrican dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal for 38. In the first session, Shannon Gabriel had removed Rohit Sharma for the latter’s score of 57 off 44 balls. Rohit raced to his half-century in 35 balls with some terrific batting in display. Earlier, Mohammed Siraj registered a five-wicket haul as India bundled out West Indies for 255 runs, taking a first innings lead of 183. (Live Scorecard)

This is now the third highest opening partnership aggregate in a two-match Test series. The South African pair of Graeme Smith and Neil McKenzie (against Bangladesh in 2008) tops the chart with 479 runs. Another South African duo of Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram (against Bangladesh in 2017) follows with 469 runs.

    A poor short ball from Shannon Gabriel and Rohit Sharma hit it away for a four to race to his half-century. He gets there in only 35 balls. This is some batting from the Indian skipper. Coming back to the ball, it was pitched short down the leg side by Gabriel and Rohit rightly punished it for a four towards the fine leg fence.

    India took the new ball after a lot of delay on Day 3. They picked the red cherry after 102.5 overs. The guests then bowled 5.1 overs with the new ball before umpires called for Stumps due to the fading light. While they were unlucky enough to not get any wicket with the new ball on Day 3, today will be a good opportunity for the Indian bowlers to put pressure on West Indies as the ball is still new.  A lot will depend on how India bowl today.
