Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are one of the most talked about couples in the entertainment industry. They tied the knot in 2007, and though it’s been more than a decade and a half, the pictures from the wedding day leave their fans in awe. From their courtship period to their wedding to their married life, every phase of their relationship garnered a lot of public interest. However, there are a few details about their relationship that not many are aware of. For instance, did you know filmmaker Karan Johar played cupid in Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage?
This revelation came to light during one of the old episodes of ‘Koffee With Karan’ when the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ filmmaker asked Abhishek to give him at least one percent credit for his marriage to Aishwarya. Responding to the request, Abhishek revealed how Karan constantly told him that Aishwarya and he would look so perfect together. “Karan was the cupid who kept planting the idea in my head, saying, ‘You know, she’s fantastic. You two would look so wonderful together. She looks so glamorous in the house when she walks down the staircase.’ Thank you, Karan, for all the assistance,” he said.
Karan was not wrong to point out that Aishwarya does bring glamour and a beautiful aura that fills the room whenever she enters. An example of the same was seen at the recent Paris Fashion Week. The former beauty queen represented L’Oréal at the fashion show. She wore a satin red gown with floor-length cape sleeves. Her gorgeous hair and bold red lips left an everlasting impression.
On the other hand, Abhishek too is leaving no stone unturned in making headlines. With a lot of interesting projects in the pipeline like ‘Be Happy,’ (a dance drama revolving around a single father and his daughter – played by Inayat Verma) and the thriller ‘King’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, Jr. Bachchan has all the plans to keep his fans entertained.
