“But, with the kind of awareness Deepika has, through the pregnancy, it’s been a breeze because we were working out almost every other day. During her last trimester, we worked out almost every day. The whole process was very enjoyable. There were some days we felt like just doing a restoration class while there were other days where we focused on strength. Deepika and I would come up with new sequences together and with a lot of communication and trust, we managed to have a healthy baby there,” she said.
When asked about Deepika’s post-pregnancy training, Anshuka described the connection she has with her clients and their babies as magical. She stressed how yoga creates a beautiful energy exchange and explained that each post-natal body is different, with no two recovering the same way.

“We will add a lot of pranayam, a lot of breath work and work on the body to bring back the muscle memory of the small exercise and small drills that your body has once done. The idea is to do tiny exercises and work on that core muscle and memory to revive your body back. So, you take those initial three months in just slowly and gradually reviving your body and then in the fourth month is when we would start working on the body goals,” she concluded.
