Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed their baby girl on Sunday, September 8, 2024. After their announcement, several celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Sara Ali Khan, sent their warmest wishes to the new parents and their newborn daughter.
Meanwhile, the ecstatic fans quickly began suggesting beautiful names for their daughter on social media, including Anika, Parisa, Ranika, and more, sharing the meanings behind these names.
A fan on X suggested, “I think they should name her ‘Ridhee’. It includes ‘दी’ from Deepika, ‘र’ from Ranveer, and it’s connected to Siddhivinayak Ganpati ji, as she was born during Ganesh Chaturthi.” Another fan page proposed the name “Ravika” for DeepVeer’s baby girl, with a fan commenting, “Ravika means sun rays!”

A netizen suggested the unique name ‘Parisa,’ explaining its meaning as “fairy-like,” a Persian-origin name that celebrates the baby’s mythical and imaginative spirit. Another user proposed ‘Radhika,’ linking it to both Ranveer and Deepika, while someone else penned ‘Renuka’ as a combination of their names. ‘Anika’ was also put forward as a suggestion.
On September 7, the ‘Padmaavat’ actress was admitted to the H. N. Reliance Hospital in the Girgaon area of Mumbai. Prior to her delivery, on Friday, the actress, her husband and their families paid a visit to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.
For the unversed, Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February this year with an Instagram post. The post featured adorable motifs of baby clothes, baby shoes, and balloons, along with the caption, “September 2024.”
On the work front, Deepika’s last release was Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, the director in an interview shared that the actress shot for a few days while she was pregnant so even her child worked on the film. The couple will be back in the spotlight when their film ‘Singham Again’ hits theatres in November.
