Citadel: Honey Bunny: Varun Dhawan reveals what Atlee says about Samantha Ruth Prabhu | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Varun Dhawan is all set to make his OTT debut with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s Citadel Honey Bunny, with Anthony and Joe Russo serving as Executive Producers on the show. He is paired opposite South Sensation Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This is their first project together, but there is one more thing common between them, and that is Director Atlee.

Varun’s next film is produced by Atlee, while he has directed Samantha in multiple films, like Thalapathy Vijay’s Theri and Mersal.Now in an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actor shared what Atlee says about the Family Man actress. Varun says , “ Everytime we talk about Sam, Atlee sir just calls her ‘ FILM STAR!!!’ “.
Talking about his experience of working with her , Varun says , “ She’s an amazing costar, she’s so professional, and always on point. When you see her, you can see someone who knows her exact joy .. she’s such a good actor, and it is a lot of fun doing scenes with her and we vibed instantly. We connected on our shared passion of cinema, and on the joy of doing something new.”
“And we needed that, especially when we would do those heavy take action sequences, and we needed to be in sync, and had to match our steps etc, and it was excruciatingly difficult….” added Samantha.
The show releases on 7th November, and also features names like Sikandar, Saqib Saleem, Simran, Kay Kay Menon and Kashvi Majmundar. The series is the Indian chapter of Russo Brothers’ Citadel, with features Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden.
