At least six people, including one child, were killed in a fire at a private hospital in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul on Thursday night.
According to sources, the blaze erupted at City Hospital on Trichy Road.Â
The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained. Â
TV visuals showed fire and smoke billowing from the building, with fire tenders pressed into service to put down the flames.
Barring the six people who were killed, all the patients inside the hospital were evacuated to safety, the sources said.
