Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita Khan was seen entering Malaika Arora’s parents’ home in Mumbai after the shocking demise of the actress’s father, Anil Mehta, earlier today (September 11).
Videos doing the rounds on social media showed Malaika’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, waiting outside her parents’ doorstep. Arpita also arrived at the residence in the evening. She did not face the media and kept a distance from the crowd as she hurriedly entered the house.
Salim Khan, Salma Khan, Helen, Arhaan, Amrita Arora, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neha Dhupia, Kajol, and many others from the family and the industry were seen arriving at the Bandra house after the incident.
Malaika was previously married to Arbaaz Khan. They ended their 18-year marriage in 2017 and share a son, Arhaan Khan.

All You Need to Know About Malaika Arora’s Late Father Anil Arora

Sources report that Joyce, Malaika’s mother, informed the police that Anil Mehta had a routine of sitting on the balcony to read newspapers every morning. Although they were divorced, Joyce mentioned that they had been living together again for the past few years. On Wednesday morning, Joyce noticed Anil’s slippers in the living room but could not find him on the balcony. Looking over the edge, she saw the building watchman shouting for help. Joyce also clarified to the police that Anil Mehta had no known illness.

Although reports suggest Anil died by apparent suicide, a final police report is still awaited.
