No one can easily forget the characters Anjulika and Manjulika Chatterjee in the sequel for the film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ played by the iconic Tabu. Coming to the third part of the horror comedy film which is hitting the big screens on November 1, the audiences will surely miss the actress Tabu.

Talking to News 18, the director Aneez Bazmee revealed that many of his peers tried to convince him to include Tabu in the cast of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.

The talented director decided to take a different path as he explained that he didn’t wanted to re-use Tabu’s iconic character in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ just for marketing strategy. He said, “Whenever people think of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, they’ll remember the superb job Tabu ji did in it.”

Anees who clearly knows that casting Tabu would soar the star power of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, stood firm on his decision to cast someone else in the third part. He said, “If she weren’t such a close friend, I might have pushed her to take the role. But out of deep respect for her, I chose someone else instead. It took us quite some time to find the right fit for Manjulika after Vidya and Tabu ji.”
Anees knew that adding Tabu in the third part would not be fair to the character she played in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
Anees praised Tabu’s acting in a certain sequence in the sequel where she takes her identical twin into a room and delivers the dialogue, “‘Do behenon ki beech ki baat kabhi khatam nahi hoti.’ Anees said that Tabu showcased pure brilliance in that sequence, taking her character to another level. By casting her again in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, Anees was not willing to destroy the impact Tabu created in the sequel.
Further Anees said that he and Tabu shares a good bond with each other.
