Anees Bazmee: I made Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 while sitting on one leg – Exclusive | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Writer-director Anees Bazmee, known for the tremendous success of films like No Entry, Welcome, Ready, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, is back with the third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series. This time, he brings together Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri, with reports suggesting Madhuri Dixit-Nene might also be part of the cast. However, in an exclusive interview with ETimes, the director dodged the question, teasing that certain secrets would only be revealed on the release date.
Despite a major leg injury just days before shooting, Bazmee opened up about how he managed to direct the film.He said, “One could say I shot the film sitting on one leg (laughs). About a week or 10 days before the film was set to go on the floor, I had a major fracture in my leg and had to undergo surgery. Though doctors advised me to take bed rest for 4 to 6 months, we had already done all the prep for shooting, and we had announced Diwali as the release date. If I had delayed shooting, we would have missed the date.”
He continued, “I also felt that if I stayed at home, I wouldn’t recover quickly. My decision to start shooting shocked everyone. I was in a lot of pain, but we pushed through, and I completed more than half of the film while sitting in my chair. When I talk to people now, they say the only difference was that I was sitting instead of my usual running around. I had the same energy and excitement, and instead of me going to the actors, the actors were coming to me after their shots,” he added.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 releases on November 1st and is set to clash with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again.
