Ratan Tata recently passed away on October 9 at the age of 86.While the entire country mourned his demise, many celebs also expressed their grief on the same. The ‘Titan‘ had a huge impact on India and every person he made. In a recent episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati‘. Amitabh Bachchan has recalled his memories with Ratan Tata.
In this episode featuring Farah Khn and Boman Irani on ‘KBC’, Bachchan spoke about Ratan Tata. He said, “Kya aadmi the main bata nahi sakta. Such a simple human being.” Big B also spoke about their flight encounter with each other. He added, “Once, we both happened to be on the same flight. We landed at Heathrow Airport, and the people who were supposed to pick him up must have left by then. I saw him standing there, and he went to a phone booth to make a call.”
Big B continued, “A short while later, he came up to me and asked, ‘Amitabh, can I borrow some money from you? I don’t have money to make a phone call.”
Interestingly, Big B and Ratan’s first meeting with each other was also on a flight where the latter failed to recognise the superstar. Bachchan had said at that point that it taught him to remain humble.
When Tata passed away, Big B had also penned a note for him which read, “An era has just passed away ..his humility, his great resolve , his vision and his determination to accomplish the very best for the Nation, ever a pride ..It was my greatest honour to have had an opportunity and privilege to work together towards common humanitarian causes ..A very sad day .. my prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻”
Tata passed away at Breach Candy hospital due to age-related issues.
