As per trends, Pushpa 2 was able to rake in US $ 3.33 million for its premiere shows in circuit falling short of the record set by Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD which had a premiere show collection of US $ 3.9 million. Kalki happens to be the second biggest premiere day collection record holder, while the first spot is also taken by Prabhas with SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2- The Conclusion which had minted US $ 4.3 million.
Pushpa 2, till early evening, had collected a little over US $ 1 million for it’s day 1 collection, taking its overall collection to US $ 4.3 million ( Rs 36.78 crore). The break even point for the film in the circuit has been pegged at US $ 15 million on returnable basis, it would be interesting to see how the film fares from now on and will it be able to recover the amount invested.
In India, the film has already clocked in Rs 175 crore from its premiere shows and day 1 collection, simply showcasing Allu Arjun’s star power and how the film has transcended the language barrier.
Prabhas’s next is titled The Rajasaab, which also features Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal and is slated for release in April 2025.
