Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ co-star, Sreeleela, has come forward to stand by the actor following his recent arrest. Arjun was detained on Friday in connection with a fan’s tragic death at the film’s premiere. However, he was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court soon after.
Sreeleela, who was in Visakhapatnam for a shopping mall launch on Saturday, spoke to the press about Pushpa 2: The Rule. In a video shared by Gulte, she mentioned how the film has become a huge success, not just in terms of box office collections, but also with fans across the world, both in the north and south of India.
When asked about Arjun’s arrest, Sreeleela expressed that it was an unfortunate situation. She shared her relief that he is now out, mentioning how everyone was worried about him. She praised Arjun for always doing the right thing and respecting the law, following all the rules as a responsible citizen.
Sreeleela is not the only celebrity showing support for Arjun after his arrest. Many others, including Nani, Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Jr NTR, have expressed their empathy. While some shared their support online, others, like Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh, visited Arjun at his home after he was granted interim bail.
Allu Arjun’s father, Allu Aravind, expressed relief and gratitude to the press for their support. Chiranjeevi’s wife and Ram Charan’s mother, Surekha, who is also his aunt, couldn’t hold back her emotions and hugged him tightly. Meanwhile, Allu Sneha Reddy, his wife, was overwhelmed with emotion and broke down in tears when he returned home.
The ‘Pushpa’ star was arrested on Friday, and although the Telangana High Court granted him a 4-week interim bail after the Nampally Court ordered a 14-day remand, he was kept at Chanchalguda Central Jail overnight due to a technical issue. He was released on Saturday morning.
