Mumbai: A special court on Saturday directed the Additional Director General (Prisons) to conduct a necessary inquiry into the assault allegations made by an undertrial lodged in Taloja jail against four prison officers.The accused Sarvar Khan alleged that he was targeted as he had complained against them and become a witness in the alleged custodial torture case of Arman Nafis Khan whose writ petition has been filed in the Bombay high court.The court directed the ADG to take suitable action and submit a comprehensive report within one month. Sarvar is accused of participating in a violent organized crime syndicate that abducted and tortured two individuals over a failed drug manufacturing deal in 2025.
